AccroNex Hackathon

Terms

Terms of participation

Last updated 26 September 2026.

1. Agreement

By creating an account or registering a team you agree to these terms, the rules, the code of conduct and the privacy policy. Where they conflict, the rules take precedence for the competition itself.

2. Accounts

Accounts are personal and tied to your university Google account. You are responsible for what is submitted under it. Do not share access.

3. Participation

Participation is free. Meals are provided during the finale. Travel to and from the venue is your responsibility. You take part at your own risk and confirm you are fit to participate in a full-day event.

4. Content and IP

You keep ownership of what you build. You grant Accron Revolutions, the Faculty of Technological Studies and confirmed sponsors a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to showcase your project name, description, screenshots, video and team photos to promote AccroNex. You confirm your submissions don’t infringe anyone else’s rights.

5. Prizes

Prizes are awarded to teams and split equally unless the team tells us otherwise in writing. Cash prizes are paid by bank transfer within 30 days of results. Taxes, if any, are the recipients’ responsibility.

6. Disqualification

We may remove a team from the competition for breaking the rules or the code of conduct, providing false information, or failing to attend after confirming. Decisions are made by the organising lead with a faculty representative.

7. Changes and cancellation

We may change dates, venue or format if needed and will notify registered participants promptly. If the event is cancelled, there is no liability beyond refunding any amount you paid to us, which is normally nothing.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, the organisers are not liable for loss of personal property, data or indirect losses arising from participation. Nothing here limits liability for negligence causing personal injury.
